Who you’re writing for
Write your post for your classmates. They’re its audience, not me.
That changes what a good post looks like. Ask what you would want to read if a classmate had written it: their own voice, what they noticed, the aside that came to them halfway through. If a different take on the activity fits where your learning is headed, take it, and say in your post what you changed. I require two things: that you post on time, and that your post includes what the activity asks for. The rest is yours.
A post written for the professor tends to go flat, and it tempts you to paste in AI output that looks like what the professor expects. You can use AI, and my AI policy sets out when. I used it to build this site, and the About page explains how. But what you post should be your own thinking, checked by you and worth a classmate’s time. Post
Posts are due Friday at 11:59 PM and replies Sunday at 11:59 PM.
Post your work as a single new thread in the activity’s forum by the post deadline. Everything the activity’s What to Do section asks for goes in that one thread, in the order you did it, so a classmate can follow your process from start to finish. Most activities also ask for a link to one of your AI conversations, with a sentence or two on what the chat shows and why you chose it.
Your two replies, below, are due by the reply deadline.
Reply 1: Recognition
Pick a classmate’s post that stands out, and say in one sentence exactly why.
Reply 2: Feedback
Pick a classmate’s post that has no feedback yet. Before you reply, look at their Introduce Yourself post, so you can put a face with the name. Name one specific strength, suggest one improvement they can act on, and close with a question. Notice how they used AI, too. If a passage sounds generic or automated, ask them how they used AI on it; a question will teach them more than a verdict.
Late posts and replies
A late post or reply earns half credit under the late work policy. If you miss the post deadline, post anyway. You can’t see your classmates’ posts until you post, and replies you make by the reply deadline still count in full.
