Late Work

Policy

Late work is accepted for partial credit for select course components listed below.

All late work earns 50% of the points available for the portion missed, not 50% of the total activity.

All late submissions must be uploaded to the Late Work folder.

Email submissions are not accepted.

Eligible for Late Submission:

  • Activity Posts
  • Activity Replies (only if the initial Post was submitted)
  • Midterm Journal Entry

Not eligible:

  • Project

Partial Credit Examples

  • Post worth 50 points → late submission earns up to 25 points
  • Reply worth 10 points → late submission earns up to 5 points
  • Missing one reply affects only that reply

Submission Instructions

Instructions must be followed exactly to receive credit.

All late work must be uploaded as a single document per item to the Late Work folder.

Files may be submitted as PDF or Word documents and must follow the file-naming conventions below.

Late Post

Posts not submitted by 11:59 PM Friday of the assigned week are considered late.

  • Submit one document containing all required post components.
  • File name example: Activity 7 - Post.docx

Late Reply or Replies

If the initial Post was not submitted on time, replies are not eligible for partial credit because discussion posts are not visible.

  • Copy the original post(s) being addressed
  • Add Reply 1 and/or Reply 2 beneath each post
  • File name examples:
    • Activity 7 – Reply 1.docx
    • Activity 7 – Reply 2.docx
    • Activity 7 – Reply 1 & 2.docx

Late Midterm Journal Entry

  • Submit one document containing the journal entry
  • File name: Midterm Journal Entry.docx

Deadline

Late work is accepted through the end of the semester.
